This position is funded with Title I/Part A and continued funding of this position will be based on the availability of Title I/Part A funds.

 

Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Title I Family Engagement Facilitator.  The appointee will report directly to the Family and Community Engagement Coordinator and will assist in the planning, development, and implementation of an effective parent education program. The Facilitator will use available technology, financial and community resources to maximize student achievement. 

 

 

Qualifications:  The Facilitator will have a valid Texas teaching certificate and at least a Bachelor's Degree.  The Facilitator must be able to speak and write concisely in English and Spanish. 

 

Preference will be given to applicants who:

 

• have a Master's Degree
• have a minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience
• possess knowledge and understanding of parental involvement 
• demonstrate the ability to develop and implement short and long-range instructional plans based on effective strategies
• develop and deliver instruction to parents and students with diverse needs
• communicate regularly with campus personnel and assist with campus-based parental activities
• possess strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
• demonstrate effective communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills

 

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

 

Salary:  Pay Range:  Teacher Pay Scale; 187-day contract

 

Employment begins:  August 1, 2024
