Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Educational Interpreter for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.  The appointee will report directly to the campus principal and will be responsible for interpreting for students in assigned classes and related school activities.  The person will work closely with the Coordinator for the Regional Deaf School, teachers, students, parents and other district personnel.

 

Qualifications:  The Interpreter will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and college credit in American Sign Language.  The interpreter should have certification from the Texas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing at Level I or above.

Salary:  Pay Range:  Instructional Support (ISC)5;  $25.10 to 38.00 (hourly rate); 187 day position
