*Federal funding - continuation of the position based on availability of Title I funds.

 

Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Title I Instructional Specialist at the elementary school level.  The appointee will report to the campus principal and will be responsible for assisting teachers to align the curriculum, enhance instruction and improve student achievement in all subject areas.

 

Qualifications:  The Instructional Specialist will have a Master's degree and a valid Texas Teacher's Certificate

 

Preference will be given to applicants who:

 

     __possess early literacy experience

     __have certification in a core subject area

     __have at least three years successful teaching experience

     __demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of effective instructional strategies and techniques

     __demonstrate an understanding of technology and its impact on instruction and services

     __possess strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills

     __exhibit the ability to develop and deliver effective staff development programs

     __demonstrate effective communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills

 

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

 

Salary:  Pay Range: Teacher Salary Schedule:  192 day contract
