Position:  Security Camera Technician Level 2

Description:  Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Security Camera Technician in the Technical Services department.  The appointee will report directly to the Technical Services Field Supervisor.  The appointee will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and installation of all security camera equipment in the district.  The person will work closely with Technical Services personnel and all other departments.

Qualifications:  High School diploma or GED preferred.

Preference will be given to applicants who:

• have at least (3) years direct experience in design, installation and maintenance of IP security cameras.
• have basic knowledge of computer networks and is competent in the use of computers and office software programs.
• is highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work with minimal technical supervision.
• possess ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Able to work on ladders, lifts, scaffolds, in attics and crawl space under floors.
• possess effective communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills.

  Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

Salary:  $36,810 - $39,062; 226 day contract
