Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the Language Tester position in the Bilingual/ESL program.  The appointee will report directly to the LEP Language Testing/Migrant Facilitator and will administer state approved language proficiency tests to students, perform clerical responsibilities, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:  High school diploma/GED; Bi-literate in English and Spanish

Preference will be given to applicants who:

--have experience working with language assessments

--have prior experience working with children and young adults

--possess an understanding of computer functions including word processing, spreadsheets,

  and database

--possess strong analytical and organizational skills

--demonstrate effective communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills

--have a service oriented personality

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

Pay Range:  Administrative/Technical Support (1); $11.50 to $17.55 (hourly); 205 day position

Employment begins:  January 27, 2020, or as soon as possible
