Position: Junior Network Engineer

Description: The district is seeking qualified candidates for the position of a Junior Network Engineer to manage the district’s computer network. This position will report directly to the Network Operations Supervisor and will work closely with personnel in the Technical Services Department and other Departments.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED

                        Valid Texas driver’s license        

Preference will be given to applicants who have the following training and experience:

• Network infrastructure engineering, implementation, and design
• Network security
• Network Access Control solutions
• Cisco iOS
• Maintain accurate documentation and coordinates network project activity
• Monitor critical system redundancy and security for disaster recovery procedures and preparedness
• Monitor network performance, asset inventory, utilizing network management tools and following industry best practices
• Manages contractors and consultants on a per-project basis
• Perform other duties as assigned

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

226-day contract

Employment begins immediately or as soon as possible.
