Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Title I Instructional Specialist at the elementary and secondary levels. The appointee will report to the campus principal and will be responsible for assisting teachers to align the curriculum, enhance instruction and improve student achievement in all subject areas.
Qualifications: The Instructional Specialist will have a valid Texas Teacher's Certificate appropriate for the level of instruction (Master's degree preferred).
Preference will be given to applicants who:
- possess early literacy experience
- have certification in a core subject area
- have at least three years of successful teaching experience
- demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of effective instructional strategies and techniques
- demonstrate an understanding of technology and its impact on instruction and services
- possess strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- exhibit the ability to develop and deliver effective staff development programs
- demonstrate effective communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.
Salary: Pay Range: Teacher Salary Schedule: 192 day contract
