Position:  Carpenter Helper - Facilities Management

Description:  Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Carpenter Helper in the Facilities Management Department.  The appointee will report directly to the Carpentry Supervisor and will be responsible for facility repairs throughout the district.

Preference will be given to applicants who: 

• demonstrate successful experience in carpentry, glazing, concrete finishing, framing and/or repairs.
• possess a working knowledge of general carpentry.
• possess a valid Texas driver’s license.
• demonstrate an understanding of building mechanics and skilled in the use of job related tools.
• demonstrate effective communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
• have a service oriented personality.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.
