Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Marketing Education teacher in the Career and Technical Department.  The appointee will report to the campus principal and will be responsible for the instruction of students in the specific C&T program.

Qualifications: The teacher will need to meet the requirements under the Texas Education Agency teacher certificate guidelines for Marketing Education or Business Education:

Preference will be given to applicants who

•  have prior successful teaching experience
• have work experience in marketing or a related field
• demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and schedules in an organized fashion
• possess advanced computer, communication, and public relation skills
• exhibit the ability to deliver content-related and appropriate instruction based on state curriculum through a combination of classroom, laboratory, and co-curricular activities
• demonstrate expertise in content area and embraces professional development opportunities
• understands the importance of promoting and securing student certification
• are able to establish and maintain a clean, effective, and professional learning environment and equipment
• are willing to serve as a CTE club advisor

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

Salary:  Pay Range:  Teacher Salary Schedule:  195 day contract
