Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Coordinator of Innovation. The appointee will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer and will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing an effective instructional technology support program that includes the best use of available technology, research findings, and staff to enhance support for improved student achievement. In addition, the appointee will support the implementation, development and professional learning needs of AYO.  This position is funded through local revenue sources. Continued funding of this position will be based on the availability of these funds.

Qualifications: The applicant must have a Master’s Degree and a valid Texas Teachers Certificate.

Preference will be given to applicants who:

• Possess excellent communication (verbal and written), public relation and interpersonal skills to build strong internal support in the district.
• Possess strong analytical, organizational and leadership skills.
• Possess knowledge and understanding of technology and its use to enhance operations and instruction for all MISD students and staff.
• Assist teachers in designing personalized instruction for at-risk students and work with at risk students in all four areas.
• Research and identify appropriate tailored learning, curriculum-based practices and measurement tools to provide frequent monitoring of students’ progress in collaboration with campus/district personnel.
• Possess knowledge and understanding of the use of data to facilitate informed decisions.
• Possess knowledge and understanding of the change process, organizational development, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills
• Understand and implement all policies and procedures of the MISD
• Possess the ability to long range plan and develop theoretical frames to bridge research into practice.
• Possess the skills to provide coaching and professional learning opportunities to further growth of Instructional Technology Coaches.

Salary:      Pay Range: Administrative (Pay Grade 4) $71,200 - $105,200; 212 days

                Employment begins:   July 12, 2021
