Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Facilitator in Career & Technical Education. The appointee will report to the CTE Director and will be responsible for marketing the CTE program within the district and community by developing relationships and partnerships with businesses, district staff, students, parents, and organizations.
Qualifications: The Facilitator will have at least a Master's degree or equivalent, a valid Texas Teacher Certificate, and recent experience in the field of Career and Technical education, counseling or administration.
Preference will be given to applicants who:
- Demonstrates a knowledge, understanding and value of Career and Technical opportunities in public school education
- Understands the scheduling process at the secondary and post-secondary levels
- Exhibits the ability to promote college and career readiness initiatives at the elementary and secondary levels (career fairs, internships and/or job shadowing, CTE Showcase Night)
- Has a working knowledge of the various post-secondary schools and other agencies providing career training within the area
- Has an understanding and ability to coordinate CTSO activities including travel, stipends and school board recognition
- Demonstrates effective communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Exhibits highly effective analytical, organizational and leadership skills
- Successful experience as a classroom teacher, counselor or administrator

Salary: Pay Range: Professional 3: $55,120 - $81,823; 212 day contract
