Description: Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the teaching position of Health Science Teacher. The appointee will report to the campus principal and will be responsible for the instruction of students in the specific CTE program.
Qualifications: The teacher will need to meet the requirements under the Texas Education Agency teacher certificate guidelines for Health Science Technology Education Grades 8-12. The applicant must have full-time wage earning experience as a licensed medical professional and verified by an educator preparation program. Must meet Dallas College instructor credentialing requirements to teach dual credit classes.

Preference will be given to applicants who:
- Have demonstrated successful teaching.
- Have the ability to meet deadlines and schedules in an organized fashion.
- Exhibit advanced computer, communication, and public relation skills.
- Provide content-related and appropriate instruction based on state curriculum through a combination of classroom, laboratory, and co-curricular activities.
- Demonstrates expertise in subject area and embraces professional development opportunities.
- Understands the importance of promoting and securing student certification.
- Maintain a clean, effective, and professional learning environment.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.
Salary: Teacher Salary Schedule: 187 day contract
