Description:  Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Engineering Mathematics and Engineering Design and Problem Solving

Qualifications: The teacher will need to hold the appropriate certification and meet the requirements under the Texas Education Agency teacher certificate guidelines for science, math or CTE.

Preference will be given to applicants who:

• Have a degree in Electrical Engineering or any Engineering Degree
• Engineering work experience
• Have demonstrated successful teaching
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work on your own
• Manage and maintain program facilities and equipment
• Have the ability to meet deadlines and schedules in an organized fashion
• Exhibit advanced computer, communication and public relation skills
• Have knowledge in or willingness to learn software such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Mastercam
• Have knowledge in the areas of Engineering and Mathematics
• Must either hold a math or science certification and be willing to test in the opposite area of certification
• Teachers that hold a math or science certification will be required to take additional CTE training
• Teachers that hold a Tech Ed certification will be required to take additional science/math training
• Must be willing to attend a two week mandatory summer curriculum training at UT Austin

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable. 

Salary: Teacher Salary Schedule: 195-day contract

            Employment begins:  July 23, 2021
