Title/Position: Mobile Security Guard

Description: The district is seeking qualified candidates for the position of a patrolling Security Guard to respond to security and fire alarms for MISD. The appointee will be required to work nights starting at 10:00pm to 6:30am. This position also requires mandatory overtime to work an alternating schedule to be on-call during district off-hours and weekends. This position reports to the Technical Services Department Fire & Security Supervisor.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.

The appointee must have a valid Texas drivers license and meet eligibility criteria to operate a District vehicle.

Preference will be given to applicants who:

• Previous Security Guard
• Able to use basic tools to secure doors and windows with plywood when
• Able to operate mobile technology devices (smart phones, tablets, laptops).
• Exhibit basic computer
• Able to lift 60 pounds without
• Able to continuously and safely drive from location to location.
• Exhibit effective communication, public relation and interpersonal

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

Pay Range: $10.62 to $16.07 per hour; 260 day contract Employment begins immediately
