Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Itinerant Teacher for Dyslexia Instruction at the elementary and/or middle school level.  The appointee will report to the campus principal and will be responsible for the instruction of students identified with dyslexia in the district intervention program.  

Qualifications:  The Itinerant Teacher will have a valid Texas Teaching Certificate with certification at the appropriate level.

Preference will be given to applicants who:

--have at least three years successful teaching experience in the district

--demonstrate willingness to follow the structured program as designed

--exhibit an in-depth understanding of effective instructional strategies and techniques

--understand the value of technology as it relates to education

--possess strong analytical and organizational skills

--demonstrate effective communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

Pay Range:  Teacher Salary Schedule:  187 day contract

Employment begins:  August 6, 2020
