Description:  Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Plumber-Apprentice in the Facilities Management Department.  The appointee will report directly to the Plumbing Supervisor and will assist in facility repairs throughout the district.

 

Qualifications:  The appointee must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.  The appointee must have a valid Texas drivers license and meet eligibility requirements to operate a District vehicle.

                               

Preference will be given to applicants who: 

• possess a general knowledge of plumbing replacement parts and materials.
• exhibit the ability to work with hand tools.
• possess a general understanding of the maintenance of plumbing related fixtures and equipment.
• have at least one (1) year experience in plumbing or related trade.
• demonstrate effective communication, public relations and interpersonal skills.
• have a service oriented personality.

 

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.
